Here's exactly what happens when you join Resonance — no surprises, no fine print.
Resonance runs as a private community for your school, class, or program. You'll receive the official download link from whoever is running it — your professor, your program, or your school directly.
This site doesn't hand out download links on purpose: joining through your school's link is what keeps your community limited to actual members of it.
Get the app, then sign up using your school email address (for example, your @yourschool.edu account). A login link is emailed to you — click it and you're in. Only verified school addresses can join, which is how we keep out bots, randos, and anyone not in your community.

This is the heart of Resonance. The survey asks how you naturally see and experience the world — what you notice, how you make sense of things, what matters to you. It's not a personality test and there are no right answers. The app tells you when you're done.
One sitting is best. If your class or program has a deadline, finish before it — matching runs after the window closes.
Once everyone's in, the algorithm computes a compatibility score between every pair of people in your community — and assembles pods of 2 to 7 people designed so that everyone, including the most introverted person in the room, gets great matches.
When pods go live, yours appears on your home screen. You'll see each pod-mate's profile — including why you matched: the ways you see the world similarly, plus shared interests that make easy conversation starters. A group chat is created automatically so nobody has to send the awkward first message.
The whole point of Resonance is to get you off the app. Grab lunch, study together, sit together in lecture, go to an event. The algorithm finds your people — the friendship part is all you. (Want the playbook for that part? That's the CLICK model.)
Matching runs once, after your group's enrollment window closes. If you don't finish the survey in time, you can't be included in that round — so don't sit on it.
If Resonance is being used in one of your classes, your professor may offer extra credit for completing the survey. The details (and the deadline) come from them, not from us.
This isn't a popularity contest. The algorithm is built so every participant lands in a pod with genuinely compatible people — there's no being "left over."
Two known quirks, two quick fixes.
The "magic login link" in your email is being opened by your browser instead of handed to the app, so you land on a fallback page. To fix it:

If the login email lands in spam, the link inside may not work from there. To fix it:
Double-check you're typing your school address correctly (some schools have more than one email format — e.g., @school.edu and @g.school.edu — and either format should work). If it still doesn't work, contact the professor or coordinator who invited you — they can reach the Resonance team to sort it out.
